The R C Lee Centenary Scholarship was established by the Drs Richard Charles and Esther Yewpick Lee Charitable Foundation to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Dr Richard Charles Lee, one of Hong Kong’s foremost businessmen and philanthropists of his day.

The intention of the scholarship is to encourage bright minds who are graduates of a local university to pursue their studies at a university outside Hong Kong. HKU students, Patricia Kwok Pui-Ki (BA 2016) and Julius Yam Shi-Rong (LLB 2015; PCLL 2016) are selected awardees this year. Patricia, who majored in African Studies and General Linguistics, will be reading for a Masters of Science in Education (Comparative and International Education) at the University of Oxford, while law graduate Julius will be pursuing a Master of Law at the University of Chicago.

The R C Lee Centenary Scholarship will be opened for applications this coming September. Stay tuned for the application details.
