Cedric Yeung Chi-Chung (LLB, Year 2) was raised in a grassroots family, which his father supports on a very modest income working as a tailor. Nonetheless, Cedric had a happy childhood as his parents gave him every encouragement.
Cedric developed a keen interest in studying law. One of his childhood dreams was to pursue legal studies at the University of Oxford. He believes studying what you are interested in should be the main consideration than picking a discipline which might have pecuniary advantage.
After entering The University of Hong Kong as a “Top DSE Scorer”, Cedric strived to work hard in his legal studies and now all his efforts and passion have paid off. He was awarded an HSBC Overseas Scholarship and he will be going to Oxford on academic exchange for a full year this coming September.
