Welcome on Board!
At HKU, every undergraduate student is supported by a Faculty Academic Adviser (FAA) – an academic staff member from your home Faculty who offers guidance on academic matters. Some Faculties also appoint Faculty Student Advisers (FSA) – senior students who help you transition into university life by sharing their experience and advice.
FAA/FSA Sign-up Schedule 2025-26
| Architecture*, Arts (double-degree programmes), Business School, Computing and Data Science, Engineering, Law, Science, Social Sciences | Aug 11 (Mon) 2pm – Aug 19 (Tue) 10am | Sign up via https://ugaa.hku.hk/signup-faa.php.
The system will automatically assign an FAA if you do not sign-up by the deadline(s). |
| Arts (single-degree programmes) | Aug 15 (Fri) 5pm – Aug 22 (Fri) 10am |
*Students from the Faculty of Architecture are only required to sign up for an FAA.
Manual Assignment
Students from the following Faculties will have their FAAs manually assigned by their Faculty: Dentistry, Education, Medicine. You will receive notification from your Faculty in due course.
