Welcome on Board!
At HKU, each undergraduate student is guided and supported on academic matters throughout their learning journey by an academic staff from their home Faculty, who is known as their Faculty Academic Adviser (FAA).
For students from the following Faculties:
Architecture
Arts*
Business School*
Engineering*
Law*
Medicine (Bachelor of Nursing Programme only)
Science*
Social Sciences*
You are required to sign up for your FAA from 2:00 pm, August 12, 2024 (Monday) to 10:00 am, August 20, 2024 (Tuesday) at https://ugaa.hku.hk/signup-faa.php, on a first-come-first-served basis. If you do not sign up by August 20, 2024, you will be automatically assigned a FAA by the System.
*In addition to FAA, you are required to sign up for a Faculty Student Adviser (FSA), a senior student who is dedicated to supporting your transition and adaptation to University studies by sharing his/her experience and advice on various academic matters.
For students from the following Faculties:
Dentistry
Education
Medicine (except Bachelor of Nursing Programme)
Your Faculty will assign a FAA to you, and you will receive details of your adviser from your Faculty accordingly. If you have any questions regarding the sign-up exercise, please contact us at (852) 3917 0128/ ug.advising@hku.hk .
